Like most major European cities, the Brussels-Capital Region suffers from traffic congestion. In other words, average journey times are increasing and becoming uncertain. Yet in the last few years there has been a slight decrease in the number of vehicles on the road across the Region. In the midst of a period of transition towards more sustainable mobility, the Brussels Region therefore needs to develop solutions to make travel easier for working people who have no alternative to the car.
